Pedal Bike Tours Cruises Into Waikiki
Pedal Bike Tours is rolling out a new form of sightseeing in Hawaii – tours of Oahu on two wheels! The Portland, Oregon-based company has opened Pedal Hawaii in Waikiki, offering bike rentals and tours of Honolulu and the North Shore designed for novice riders.
“We’re here to get visitors off the tour bus and into the fresh Hawaiian air,” says founder Todd Roll. “Exploring the city by bike is a fun, easy and safe way to experience local sites and culture. Considering Honolulu has the 12th highest bicycle commuter rate and the 2nd worst traffic in the country, the island is primed for what we’re doing.”
Pedal Hawaii offers two family-friendly tours on Oahu – Hidden Honolulu and Explore The North Shore – taking guests off the beaten tourist track for an insider’s perspective of the island. Tours are offered in both English and Japanese, and are guided by local experts with local insights.
Located on the ground level of the Queen Kapiolani Hotel in Waikiki, Pedal Hawaii is conveniently situated near Diamond Head, the beach, car-free bike paths and miles of new bike lanes. “We’re an ideal jumping off point for visitors who want to pedal around the city, or for those who are going car-free, but still want to explore the island,” adds Roll.
